Re: June '2002 buffalo applicant - got PR visa
I still dont understand what goes on between the time one gets a
waiver to the time one gets a passport request. There is not much
published in terms of the procedures and steps involved... There is
some vague references to checks regarding subversive activities,
espionage etc.. but no specifics in terms of when meds are assessed,
pccs are assessed etc...There are folks who get their requests three
months from the waiver and then there are those who get it in 4 or 5
months.. It is difficult to guage which month one gets a request.. for
instance, if this gentleman were to send his docs in december 03
instead of november 03, would he still have gotten the request in
february 04? Or since the background checks take the longest, it
wouldnt have mattered if the docs were sent early on or a bit late?

Never needed any clearance from pakistan.
They didn't ask for this, probably becuase I myself provided new FBI
clearance in September '2003. I heard that FBI clearance is good for
one year and at that time i already crossed that one year limit.
