Never use consultant that is not based in Canada - those abroad cannot
have access to your file and cannot get any information from CIC about
your case.

Why you guys are always finding some strange firms abroad while we
have a group of reputable and well known for their expertise
consultants contributing to this newsgroup? Why not hire one of them
instead?

Thanks for the information, where can I find ratings or reviews on
immigration consultants? I am new to this and need somewhere to start.

Sorry to burst your bubble Mr. Julio, but, if you cannot give an
informed/intelligent answer, please do some research before doing so.
International Recruiting & Immigration Services Inc.
(www.irisfirm.com), is a registered firm both in USA and Canada and
offices in both countries. We have two law firms working with us
including 15 consultants who are all educated in USA and Canada and
hold MBA's degrees from universities in USA like Stanford and UC
Berkeley.

If you read the very first line in "About IRIS" page of
www.irisfirm.com, you will note the location and registration of the
firm.

The only good piece of advice that Mr. Julio provided and should be
noted among readers of this and other newsgroups looking to immigrate
to Canada, is that if a Consultant is situated in a country other than
Canada, or is not a Citizen/Permanenet Resident of Canada, he/she is
NOT permitted, by Canadian law, to represent your interests in the
Federal Court of Canada, should an appeal of a negative Immigration
decision be required in your case. Please keep this information in
mind when choosing who to represent you.

Hopefully that helps.

Thanks

Seth

Before you do anything, read this article:

Should I get help with my immigration application from an immigration
consultant or lawyer?
