Intra Company Transfers
Lets see if I have more luck posting this in the correct forum.
ok the quick version - where can I get comprehensive information on the documentation and processes involved in the E-15 Gats intra company transfer.
I am moving to BC from the Caribbean and need to get this taken care of ASAP. I understand it isnt a lengthy or difficult process but it is if you dont have the correct data.
The Canadian Govt sites say to apply at the Border!!!!!!!. I think that is meant for US citizens surely and not somebody getting off a international flight.
Im waiting on an answer from the High Commision in Trinidad but I'd rather get some data elsewhere as who knows how long they will take.
Cheers.

Re: Intra Company Transfers
It is not lengthy process for most, although "lengthy" may mean different
things for different people. But it is not a simple process and it is
strongly advised to seek professional assistance.
Only citizens of NAFTA countries (US, Mexico and Chile) may apply at the
border under NAFTA intra-company transfer.

Re: Intra Company Transfers
Well I just talked to someone at the high comission in Trinidad. Whilst very polite they had not heard of the E-15 Company Transfer and had to put me on hold to get answers to my questions from a supervisor.
The 'Send us the paperwork and we'll let you know if we need anything else' isnt the most reassuring thing I have heard. Maybe it is just me expecting reams and reams of red tape (I held a US L-1 company transafer visa for some time and remember well that process).
It cant be that simple can it? Just fill in the work permit application and send the details of the company, the job and my pertinent work experience.
I must be missing something.
