Nobody can tell you what (aside obvious general questions) you'll be asked
during the interview. Interview was called for because selection decision
cannot be made based solely on the information and documents you provided with
the application and/or because something surfaced during the assessment,
documents verification or background check and needs to be clarified or
verified and/or your language skills as well as your education/experience
credentials need to be re-evaluated. It may be just a "walk in the park" or
total disaster - depending from the reasons for the interview and how well you
are prepared for such. So, it is impossible to tell you what it will be for you
without full assessment of your entire application package and detailed
analysis of CAIPS file with processing officer's notes, sorry.

If you act fast, you may be able to get your CAIPS notes in time before the
interview.

Once you have those notes, you may have a better picture of the situation.

Hi,

What is a CAIPS File? How can one get it & how long does it generally take to get it?

How would it help incase of interview?

You would find a lot of information on CAIPS if you do a simple search on the forum. You may also visit websites like www.caips.ca , www.caipsnotes.com for information.

Reviewing and being able to interprete one's CAIPS file generally gives one a better idea of the assessing officer's reason to call for an interview. This would enable you to better prepare for the same.

As has been discussed so many times, any Canadian citizen can get your CAIPS notes provided you authorize them to access your information and pay the fee of $5. You may however need professional expertise to actually decipher whats in your CAIPS notes to be able to understand it.

From what I have heard people say on the forum, www.caips.ca is a good place to get your CAIPS requested from Ottawa.

CAIPS - Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System

A computer file where info from your application is entered, results of
different tasks of the process and processing officer's notes can be found.
Very useful prior to interview - it will tell you (most of the time and if you
know how to interpret officer's notes) why interview was called for in the
first place and what will be the most critical subjects of such interview as
well what kind (if any) of doubts are in processing officer's mind about your
case.

Why are you unable to obtain a free copy of your own file that you have already paid a considerable sum for in the first place? The canadain civil service (like most) does seem to be a bit backward!

It is Canadian law my friend, not civil service. Our law prohibits release of
any information pertaining to immigration application to anyone who is not a
Canadian citizen or resident *and* is not residing in Canada.
