Thanks. I am just trying to take my mind off of it by working out at the gym more, going for walks and playing on the xbox.

This has to be the hardest wait out of the whole process!

Still wont be long now- hopefully.
Wouldn't it be a nice christmas present!

YES!! the waiting is realy difficult..and i got quite down with it. I found myself quite isolated etc..and missing Home dreadfully.

I actualy had to go home to australia to take care of some bussiness etc..then whilst there it was discovered i had a 3cm ovarian cyst...what a nightmare!!..i then had to stay in Australia till i was operated on! it was delayed twice!! i thought i would never get back here...then my landing letter arrived.....i tell ya!..i cannot say a bad thing about CIC..they were so understanding and helpful!!!

what type of work do you do..???

**hugs**

I can understand the isolated part, I can't drive so pretty dependent on my hubby at the moment and the friends I do have don't understand how difficult traveling is when you can't drive and live in another city. Top it off I lost a lot of friends when I moved because they were all about them, no real loss really but hurt a great deal at the time.

I haven't been back since I came over last June even though my mum needed me I couldn't because we didn't have the money so have been trying to do what I can from here.

I finished university a couple of weeks before I came out here but my degree was in multimedia so CD/ DVD ROMS, websites etc.

*hugs* back to you and thank you!!! i think you are my first BE (((((((hug))))))

it is difficult indeed if you dont' drive......have you thought about getting your licence.? i didn't get mine till i was 31...best thing i ever did..realy changed my life for the better..was like the world just opened up!!! i was able to go to so many more places and do so many more things...it was great..i couldnt' do enough driving for years...heheheee and then i ended up getting my bus licence..as one of the nursing homes i lived in..we used volunteer bus drivers for the residents outings...they were scarce..so the home offered to put me through the driving school etc...and vrooom i jumped at it!!

now i am over here...i have done my BC car licence part..and now i am studying for my bus licence here......geeez i tell ya..i never ever thought i would be going through this again...

I have made a few freinds here in Canada..but no one that lives in the same town as me....well not anymore....i miss that...having that friend to go shopping with..coffee...the movies etc...i feel it will come..but these things take time.

I get incredibly home sick when i talk with my closest friend who is still in Australia. we had a marathon of a chat on the phone the other night..and then the next day i am wanting to pack and go back!..i even said this to my husband..who just looks at me and smiles in that knowing way he has...that this too shall pass...../ i know she loves me and misses me terribly but it is so hard when she is talking to me about her kids and stuff..and says..in a quiet way...'well you will be back one day won't you' i just go.i dont' know....and then there is this silence. uuurgh

anyways.....your time is coming soon..and you will be out in the world..meeting others in a different light and socialising more. Is not an easy thing we have done realy ..for my story is not all that different to yours...met, came over, married, etc.....our decision to move countries was based on matters of the heart. i know i would not have left australia if i hadnt' met my husband, however..what an experience and adventure it has been and continues to be......

I agree, I dont srive either. I wish I had taken the test in the UK before I came out here.

It sucks having to rely on the other half.
Although, With having 2 dogs its great- They just love to drag me out for walks. Sometimes up to 10k.

Although on of them broke their leg today :-(

Hi Maple Dragon,

Nope, nothing since the initial letter saying a decision has been made. We await the call from Sudbury, which is 2 1/2 hours away from here (glad I have my license!! ) . I hope they wait until November now, as I'll actually get paid for taking a day off work - up until then I'm on my own.

But that's another story!
