Inland applicant leaving canada for job reasons

Hello: Recently my wife sponsored me for permanent residency from within Canada. I
have a work visa, which I obtained prior to my PR application, which is valid through
end of June 2002. However, I swithced jobs. As part of my inland PR application, I
got a new employment authorization that allows me to work for any employer.
The problem is I was advised not to leave Canada till I get my PR.
A) Can someone explain what the risks of leaving Canada are?
B) Is there any way I can travel at least to the US and not jeopardize neither my
application nor my re-entry into Canada?
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely, Ravi

Short answer - don't do it and read again the respective notice in your AIP letter.

Mr. Miller is right, I didn't even attend my cousin's wedding across the border. I
