Default Indian "Rent a Guest" immigration scams

Some sharp eyed people in the New Delhi office I see. People have suspected this for quite some time, and it's definitely happening.

Officials have identified the 4 gentlemen in grey suits as being central to their investigations.

By the way, if I have inadvertently added a picture of your wedding, I apologize now.

But not for immigration fraud, rather a crime against fashion …

you know what is bogus about that whole thing!!!

is that we didn't have ANY guests at our wedding..was just mr-maple leaf- and myself.... his 2 kids...and one friend..as a witness ..that was it!..no big white wedding either.....it was in a park..was a beautiful day..we went out for lunch afterwards..and that was that....

some people do think you need to show the whole trimmings! to prove a wedding is legit for all the right reasons to immigrate...it's unrealistic to think that~~~~~~~~~~~~everybody even wants that type of wedding!

we got married for ourselves...not for CIC! hehehee

maybe that is the difference huh!

Exactly. And oddly, the kind of wedding you just described is automatically going to be the one that arouses most suspicion from CIC.

My wife had been toying with us getting married in Vegas. Thank goodness we didn't do that, or alarm bells would have gone off when we applied … (unless Saskatoon has been getting itself a rep I don't know about ).

CIC looks at wedding to the cultural norm in the country where they are held.

yes that makes perfect sense ..and of course they would. well at least i would expect them to.

i think that the main thing is ..if your marraige is genuine..you will do what feels right for you and your partner.

seems to me there is no Rule! regarding what type of wedding one should have etc....just cos one does it one way doesn't mean another will want the same thing...even if they are from the same cultural background!..heck my sister had the BIG white wedding in the church and all...LOL..nothing like me!!~ however in saying that ..i do know other countries have more so of the traditional type weddings. or do they..? do people in countries like india run off and get married and break tradition..? i spose some of them do

What I love is that you're not even expected to get married at all.
