Hi everyone,

The Document checklist IMM 5722 for PR Business Class applicants does NOT ask for the police reports to be included and specifically states not to include additional documentation. BUT in Instruction Guide IMM 4000 under 'Gather Documents - Police certificates' it states: 'The certificate must have been issued no more than three months prior to submitting your application.'

Can anyone PLEASE shed some light on this - should I include police certs or not with initial application or wait for medical/supporting documentation stage? I emailed London weeks ago but no response....

1. Read the checklist: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kit...s/IMM5722E.PDF PCCs aren't required at the application stage so that is what you go by.
2. They don't ask for them upfront, as the processing times are so long.
For London in the past year, the processing times for 80% of the applications in months, plus the no. of applications processed.

Thanks for clarifying on police certs

Yikes - only 12 self-employed in 60 mths! How did you access those stats? Do you know if that's a combination of lower applications in this group and/or high refusal rates?

1. Low applications and high refusal rate, last 12 month the refusal rate for self-employed was 83% in London All offices %47
2. www.date.gc.ca Search Immigration, then search by check Citizenship and Immigration. Download the spreadsheet you want.

Thanks a million for pointing out these stats. I'll check out that site. Now I would love to see the breakdown on which job titles are being processed and which are being declined!
