Default Implied Status.

Hi

My daughter who was not allowed to come to Canada as a PR even though she was approved under the BC Nominee programme to come with us as she had passed the age of 22, joined us with a BUNAC visa which expired in May 2010. In November 09 she sent off an application for PR under Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds and also requested an extension of her work permit. She is now here on Implied Status. the H & C application has now gone to our local office and will take over 9 months to process. In January, she can send off an application for PR under the semi skilled work BC PNP scheme as she will have been at her job for 9 months and the BC PNP confirmed she only needs to send in a receipt of the payment for her open work permit with the PNP application showing it was renewed before her current visa run out. However, we are worried that she may be refused PR under H & R application at the same time her application is going through in which case her work permit would expire. Can anyone let us know how quick she can get the work permit under PNP and does she have to leave her job if the H&C visa is refused even though she has been accepted under the BC PNP scheme and the application sent off.
Thanks
