immigrating to canada ?
I am planning to immigrate/work to canada...I went to the CIC homepage and
am currently thinking of either applying as a PR skilled worker or apply a
work permit. I am currently living in Texas but my citizenship is filipino
(Manila, Philippines) I'm 25yo M finished finance in the Philippines, took
up computer networking in new york and am currently taking up LPN/LVN here
in houston (finishing this august)....can i just apply in the US embassy or
do i have to go back? do you know any companies/websites that are willing to
sponsor aliens for work in canada? would it be better if i apply on one of
the provinces (manitoba or yukon) first before applying for PR? Whats the
usual waiting time for getting a PR and getting a workers permit? whats the
fastest way to immigrate to canada? am planning to fix my papers so that
when i graduate by august i just have little time to wait.
thanks

Re: immigrating to canada ?
You have to apply from your home country at the nearest CIC centre.
It can take from 18 months to several years to get PR.
If there are companies/agencies willing to sponsor aliens for jobs in Canada
they are either hiding or non-existent as nobody can find them.
You will have to do the hard work just like everyone else!
