Default Immigrant property: software

Is a new immigrant allowed to bring his legal software with him (like some
games, a word processor etc.)?

One thing you might want to take into account is if the s/w will still work/be useful in Canada. Most stuff would be fine but for example a UK orientated accounts package might be a waste of time plus you might run into compatibility issues with some games if you try and get an expansion pack designed for the Canadian original. Still it doesn't take up much space so bring them and see...
