Hello experts!
I came to Canada with tourist visa, and after the expiration of visa i didn't go back
to my country. My visa expired 9 months ago, and for the hole time I'm working and
leaving in Canada illegally. What happens if police (immigration) catch me? I guess I
would be deported, what are the other consequences in my case (besides of
deportation). I know that I'm breaking the low, but I don't have any other
opportunities.
Thanks, Adam

It is not true that all illegals who are caught are deported. There is provision in
the ACT for a Immigration Adjudicator to issue a Departure Order if the person
concerned is willing and able to leave Canada. This means having a ticket and a
passport with you when you have a hearing. The Adjudicator will look at other matters
as well but it is not automatic that you will receive a Deportation Order. This is
not to encourage you to remain illegally in Canada but to set the record straight. My
best advice is to go home.
