I am not sure if people are aware of this - ICAS and WES assessments are NOT the same. Having seen a number of people have assessments completed by both agencies - they will assess the same qualification and come out with completely different outcomes - and this can mean having a credential assessment that you CAN use for a FSW application and one that you cannot.

If you are unsure who to use - pick WES.

In case you're not aware, AmyDavid's worked for a very well respected immi consultant for many years, so I suspect has done an awful lot of ECA's!

That doesn't seem accurate...unless I'm not understanding what was meant.

For example ICAS won't assess HND only - to provide an FSW appropriate report they want a ND certificate as well. Lots of people don't have NDs as well meaning you get a report which states terminology not eligible for FSW process. WES will assess HND only.

It doesn't make sense to me how one will assess certain quals as FSW eligible and one won't. Weird.

All plz dont go for icas...they hv worst slow service which can take minimum 2-3 months to furnish eca

It does say it can take 8-10 weeks on the first page.

It does but I guess the issue is why does it only take WES 10 days? Are they that much of a bigger operation?

I have seen different reports on ICAS and WES.
I have OND, HND and BSc(top-up,1yr,UK University).
Who would be in a better position to accredit me, ICAS or WES?
