IA, e-client update
Hi
I have been reading on this forum about people receiving their IA. Do all applicants get an IA sent to them? I haved not received such a document. This is my situation:
Jan'04 - submitted application (skilled worker)
Jan'04 - got AOR
April'04 - submitted RCMP fingerprint card to CIC
April'04 - submitted medicals
I found out that I got an interview waiver when I called the embassy in May'04. Also, I read that in some cases, the e-client status was updated after medicals were received by CIC. My status still says 'in process'. I confirmed with CIC that my medicals were there. Do procedures vary depending on the visa office? I applied from Port of Spain, TRINIDAD.

Hi RICKMO,
Can you drop me a line via e-mail. I made a quiry on my application today and was told that Trinidad, Port-Of-Spain ran out of visas, so all applications are on hold until next year.

Yes, procedures vary depending from policies in particular visa posts.

I just read a reply about visas running out at the port of spain CIC, and PR applications being put on hold until next year. I have never heard about anything like this before, not even on this forum. Is this really possible? I would like to get your opinion on this. After all, there are still two months left in 2004.

Not PR applications being put on hold, only issuance of PR visas for already approved cases. Processing continues, only visas won't be issued this year.
It is normal and is happening every year - depending from visa post it usually may start happening around late September.

As you mentioned, processing continues. If my case is approved, will I still be informed although visa won't be issued this year or will I be contacted in 2005?
