Hey there,

I have a friend that I want to go with me to Canada this Thanksgiving
weekend, for 4 days. She's an exchange student (from Belarus) here at
University of Oregon. I believe she got US student visa. Will it be ok
for her to go with me, or they won't let her into the country? If it's
possible, what documents will she need?

For one thing, she needs a visa to visit Canada. And, as you seem unsure,
if she has no student visa for the USA, it might be a big mistake to come to
the attention of either border official.

I remember a case in Niagara Fall, there is a lady come across the bridge to
view the fall on Canada side, but could not get back to USA because she is
not allow to leave USA during her immigraiton process. Make sure your
friend can RE-ENTER USA before he or she come along with you or apply for
Canada Visa.
