I GOT IT!!! - Yippeee! :-D
Wouldn't you know it? Of course the DAY after I complained like crazy
on this board (see my last post, "still waiting for my passport
>:-/"), I got my stamped passport returned to me "express", today--14
days after they received it. I'm moving this Monday, May 26th,
2003!!! Yippee!!
I can't believe it's finally MY turn to say, "I Got It". Thank you to
Andrew Miller and Jim Humpries for allllll of their advice when I
personally e-mailed them a "last minute" question and who dealt with
my impatience, and to all of the kind-hearted "post-ees" who write on
this msg board everyday. You all really helped ease my mind
throughout this process.
To all those who are just now applying for Canadian PR, thinking of
applying, or still waiting for their visas, the absolute best of luck
to all of you guys, keep holdling on and USE THIS MESSAGE BOARD as
MUCH as you can... its a true asset and without it alot of us would
have given up a long time ago.
I wish you all the best!

By the way, is there any requirement for the passport expiration date
when it is required to send in for a stamp?

Passport should be valid for at least 12 months beyond the date medicals
were done.

Considering the fact that Buffalo office currently assesing
application received at February 2002. Does it mean that PR
application with Quebec as destination (with CSQ) has different queue
in the process ?
If yes, looks like this type of processing is much faster than the
Federal Skilled Workers Class.

Mr. P,
Just out of curiosity:
Did the visa officer conduct conversation in French?
What did the visa officer ask during the Interview for CSQ?
Thank You

ABW,
first things first: i`m a female *smile*
and for my CSQ the officer conducted the interview in the language she
asked that i felt most comfortable in: English. However she DID ask
me (in French) if I were to be spoken to in French if i could get the
jist of what was being said (i answered in the best french i could)
she was very nice.

Thank you for your reply. Does it mean the passport with validity less
than 12 months must be renewed first before sending in for a stamp or
it doesn't matter for the stamping purpose?

Re: I GOT IT!!! - Yippeee! :-D
If passport expires sooner than 12 months from medicals then visa will be
valid only until the expiration date of the passport, not 12 months from
medicals.
But regardless - some visa posts require passport to be valid at least 12
months from medicals.
