Going to Vancouver next JAN
and..... I'M NEVER COMING BACK!!!!!! heheheh

well we'll see if Vancouver welcomes me with open arms.

I also got onto Bunac too - it has been a long process for me because I lived abroad but thanks to all of the help on here I was organised and ready to apply when I knew I could. All of the help was really good!

I sent off my Visa application and the CHC received it on Aug 13th...then 18 working days later I was told it had all gone through no problems and I had the Visa letter to take to Canada with me within one day. Very speedy and I'm very happy! So I'm off to Vancouver this week

Good luck with everyone elses applications. We'll all get there eventually!

Wow...whoa! So, hold on, are there non-student visa's open now??? My bf and i are waiting patiently for November to get him to apply....were scared he's not gonna get one due to quantity... :S

Also, if he gets granted a visa in November (non student) Is he allowed to come to Canada for xmas? I understand he cant come for good until february, but cant he come for a week and go back?

No i am saying u have until 31st Jan 09 to enter ie this is for the visa that was open in Dec 07. your BF wont get it in Nov, The next one ie 2008 will be open in 1st or 2nd week in Dec 2008 so watch out for it and your BF can get in after Feb 09 ok, so watch the space for Dec openings in Dec 08 , I will say get your BF to get his Police report in the next 6 weeks 0r 8 weeks and he can go to canada in ending of Feb 09 ok.. good luck
