Default HRDC opinion question

Mr. OS,
How did you get a job offer?
Would you share tips and tricks?
Did you get a job offer via an agency?
How long ago did you receive a job offer?

I don't mean to be nosy but I am also in software development industry
in the states.
So far when I apply for jobs in Canada, potential employers will run a
mile away as soon as they find out I don't have a work permit or they
will say "We would like to offer you the job but we currently don't
sponsor work visas, please apply again after you have landed."

Thanks in advance for your info.

Default Re: HRDC opinion question

No secret here. A friend of a friend owns a company in Canada and it
happened that it really needed someone with my profile. It also
happened that he is also a compatriot of mine, so maybe I scored
something for this too :-)
The job is real, it's not only for getting points.

Why don't you try some networking between your conationals or/and
friends ? Finally this must generate some results.
Without some extra help, generally the scenario is as the one
described by you.

Good luck.
