How is the IT job market in Ontario and Quebec ?
So, those "paper tigers" (ITcertficates) won't impress Canadian
employers anymore unlike they do in the states (for some employers),
eh?
When we talk about experience, what kind of experience do most
employers look for (besides that mysterious Canadian experience)?
Do they look for more quality (what kind of IT projects, etc) or
quantity (how long you worked for a particular company)?
What is the trend in extreme programming (XP) in Canada?
Thank You

They don't so much in the states either.

The best experience is that in which you've been able to add
profitability.

Neither matters if you can demonstrate that the work you did contributed
to your employer's bottom line, by increasing efficiency, cutting costs
etc.

Yes exactly. The best advice I ever got regarding my resume was not to just
make a big list of all the programming languages I knew. This meant squat to
a company. What you want to do is show HOW you used a certain language or
technology. Show how you used creative thinking to solve a problem. Show how
you used a language/technology to benefit the company or client.
