Hi all of you.... Waiting seems forever but.... still waiting... but i want somebody to explain me how it is possible that one of my friend, the same age, from the same country of origin, lived in canada like me, and extra in USA; was able to get it one month ago but I still don't hear anything... Timelines are almost the same, and even i am 2 months ahead on everything than him such as interview, medicals, fingerprints... I am not posting this because i am jelous or anything, i am really happy for my friend, but what bothers me is how would CIC would explain the situation, if we were to ask (or allowed let say)..... Now please do not tell me that my background check is taking too long, since we are from the same country of origin, lived in canada, and as an extra my friend lived in USA.... This doesn't make sense to me at all.... what might be the other issues than the background check?

You have learned the eternal secret of Immirgation - "Nothing Makes Sense".
The first axiom of Canadian Immigration is"Everything being equal- It Never
Is".
Get a copy of your caips notes and compare them to your friends caips notes.
That wil tell you whay you are taking longer than your friend.

There are no 2 identical cases, period. Each case is processed at it's own
pace and you cannot compare someone else's timeline to yours, regardless how
much both cases may seem similar to each other. Your case may have required
more detailed verification of supporting documents and background,
especially if evidence you submitted was not as conclusive and bulletproof
as your friend's - just to show you one of tons of reasons for differences
in processing times.

I will tell you something mr.miller... I am always very organized and serious with any formal documentation... So i know i sent everything in order and nothing needs to be questioned in my file i can guarentee you that.... I will tell you what is happening, in the limitation of my knowledge, it al depends from visa officer to visa officer that is all about it.. some visa officers really work seriously while others not... This is where we see the bigest difference with the eclient... While some people has great up to date information all the time where the others do not, like me, just saying they opened my file such and such..no info about the medicals or nothing, eventhoug it has been 10 months that they received the medicals.. I checked with Ottawa so i know... E-clients are updated with the visa officers dealing with the files as far as i know.. you are right that there is no identical 2 cases, as long as officers are different and the visa offices are different... My friend told me they replied to his mail regarding the status of his application right after a week, while i asked for the same information 3 months ago and received nothing... As a result what I think is CIC is not organized at all, and a shame for Canada... There is no standard in any process they are doing....... And it is 80% luck, random process after the selection decision is made...
