How to bring my son
I am a Canadian PR. My family is with me except my elder son who is back in
India. He is over 24 and is NOT dependent on me. In the past he applied as
independent applicant but he scored less then required points. Can someone tell
me how can i bring him here. he is the only close family member left in India
and I cant find any way to bring him here. I read that I can use "last family
member role" for this. Can some one tell me the details please.

Re: How to bring my son
you could only use the 'no other family memeber to sponsor' type route if
you also had no family with you in Canada. This is what it says on the CIC
website:
"
* you may also sponsor one relative of any age if you do not have an
aunt, uncle or family member from the list above who you could sponsor or
who is already a Canadian citizen, Indian or permanent resident.
"
Notice the line that says "or who is already a Canadian citizen, Indian or
permanent resident." So the fact you already have Family with you in Canada
means you can't really use that method, you basicaly need to be ni the
situation where you are alone in Canada with no family and they are the only
person left in the world in your family.
You could possibly file a Humanitarian and Comassionate grounds case on the
basis that he has no family anywhere in the world but Canada and is
unmarried and alone. However i have no idea if that would be succesful and
youd probably be best seeking professional advice first.
