How to add my wife's name to my PR application
Hi
I am currently in US for the last 4 years and have applied for Canadian
PR afor myself on 10th Jan'2002 under skilled workers category.
Well, after more than 18 months, last Sep, I recieved a letter from
Canadian Immigration asking me to go for a Physical exam and also
requested me to send the Police verification along with it.
In meantime, I got married during July and so I have sent a fax and a
letter to Canadian Immigration notifying them about the change in my
maritial status.
Well, I haven't recieved any response for more than 4 months from them.
They haven't sent me any letter informing me on how to add my wife's
name to my PR application.
I was wondering, if should I go ahead and proceed with my health
certificate and police certificate or wait for them to guide me on how
to add my wife's name to the application.
Any response on this is very much appreciated.
Thx
Sriram.

Re: How to add my wife's name to my PR application
Notifying about change of marital status is not enough. You need to submit
updated forms for yourself IMM 0008 Generic, page 2 and IMM 5406), your
wife's forms (Schedule 1 and IMM 5406), marriage certificate, all supporting
documents required to be submitted by dependent spouse, your wife's photos
and CAD 550 application fee along with the request to add your wife to your
application.
