Hi Mr. Miller
Hi Mr. Miller:
I remember that you were saying that the time of processing new cases (send
this year)for skilled worker could be speed up since the old cases have been
hold for the further decision from the court.
I am just wondering if there is any indication now shows that new cases have
been processed any faster? I have heard that the number of applicicants have
dropped a lot after the new immigration law implemented, is it true? and
will it help to speed up the new case process time in buffalo?
I just got my file number (I have 79 points with HRDC confirmation job
offer) and I know that I still have long way to go.
Many thanks
Jun

Re: Hi Mr. Miller
I didn't say anything like that. I said that "if old application will be put
on hold then we may expect acceleration in processing newer cases". Since
old applications have not been so far put on hold (only refusal letters
cannot be mailed) then nothing really changed yet.
I didn't hear any verifiable information about the substantial drop in the
number of applications either. There is a drop compared to the number of
cases submitted just after IT bubble implosion and before new law (in 2000,
2001 and early 2002) when we experienced unprecedented increase in number of
applications, but when compared to previous years applicants (qualified)
apply at the similar rate.
