Help on Visiting India

We live in Windsor, ON, Canada. My wife and kid are planning to go to
India for 2.5 months. She is planning to fly from Chicago. My kid is
US citizen and has the Canadian PR application in process. Do we need
to inform the Canadian immigration when they leave Canada?
