What do you mean by
?
Without knowing what the letter says I am just guessing, butIf I were you I would just send everything (info sheet, photos, passport copies) to Ottawa. Sending the extra stuff will not be an issue.

I am just concerned in sending Passport as the UK option does not ask for it, i wondered if this helped in 'landing' in any way.

The letter you quote requests " copy of passport ?
So send (colour) copy.
I'm mildy confused, upon re-reading your post, & I bet you are too
!! If you can not speak to a Real Live Person either at London or Ottawa for clarification, my above comment stands.

This is the exact wording of appendix C.
B) Submitting photocopies of your passport(s) in Canada (CPC-O):
If you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit photocopies of your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (“CPC-Oâ€). You are required to send the passport photocopies together along with a copy of this correspondence by mail or courier to the following address.
If sent by regular mail or Canada Post Xpresspost (recommended option)
CPC – Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa, ON, K1G 4B9
ï‚· Purchase two prepaid letter-sized (32 x 24 cm) Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes (Regional if you live in Ontario or Quebec; National for other provinces and territories), at any Canada Post retail outlet.
 Complete the mailing label showing your full mailing address in the “Deliver To†field.
ï‚· Make a note of tracking numbers for each
If sent by private courier (only)
CPC – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa, ON, K1A 1L1
ï‚· If you choose to not provide us with a return Xpresspost envelope, we will return your passport(s) via regular mail (Canada Post Lettermail). Passport(s) will not be returned by private courier. Do not provide any pre-paid courier envelopes: These will not be used.
7/7
envelope.
ï‚· Enclose both envelopes along with your passport and a copy of this letter.
ï‚· You can purchase a Canada Post shipping label online.

I, personally, if my visa application were processing through the London office, and the London office sent me a letter requesting copies of my passport, would send (colour) photocopies of my passport, along with any and all other documents requested, to the address provided on the letter from London.
I read your post containing the copy & paste of "appendix C": I don't see where it mentions sending actual passport rather than copies, & without knowing which visa you are talking about (I'm guessing "family class"), it's difficult to understand your (non - so far) question about it?

Thanks for your reply. I was leaning towards London but thought the Ottawa option would be quicker.
The application is PNP Nova Scotia, the request for actual Passport is mentioned twice on the pasted appendix, i have copied again below the last part:-
ï‚· If you choose to not provide us with a return Xpresspost envelope, we will return your passport(s) via regular mail (Canada Post Lettermail). Passport(s) will not be returned by private courier. Do not provide any pre-paid courier envelopes: These will not be used.

Sorry, yes, I see that reference now. Badly written isn't it?
.
However, I'm in favour of keeping things simple, & would follow the instructions in the letter you received (see my post #6).
Good luck!! You're nearly done

There are some people in the Family Class who have had this request and have just sent copies and photos to Ottawa instead of to London if they are already in Canada, and it's been fine.

I had this exact email and sent copies of my passport and new photos to Ottawa and it took about 9 days for my COPR to arrive in the mail!
Congrats by the way!!
