Re: Help needed-- Driving directions from San Francisco to Vancouver
Are you kidding? Anyway, here it is:
Take Bay Bridge from SF towards East Bay (Oakland/Berkeley) ->
-> from Bay Bridge drive into I-580 (I-80) towards Vallejo and then
Sacramento ->
-> after about 70 km (~43 miles) take I-505 towards Winters/Redding
(North) ->
-> after another ~ 50 km (~32 miles) take I-5 North ->
-> keep driving I-5 North for about 1,280 km (~800 miles) until you hit
Canadian border ->
-> after crossing the border keep driving North on Hwy 99 until you hit
Vancouver (about 50 km/ 30 miles)
When crossing from Oregon to Washington you'll be driving through Vancouver
WA, so don't get confused and keep going another 5 to 6 hours North through
Seattle to Vancouver BC.

Re: Help needed-- Driving directions from San Francisco to Vancouver
Dear Mr. Miller
Would you please be so kind to inform me also about my routing to Vancouver.
I hope to get my papers in summer and plan to drive from Istanbul / Turkey
to Vancouver. Which way should I take?
Can you suggest any nice restaurants on the way to Vancouver?
I really congratulate your patience!

Mr. Ataman:
I question the motivations behind your sarcastic post... I imagine it's a
long drive from San Franscisco to Vancouver, but did the request for
directions merit the level of your response?
Be kind...

Jim - not really, but it seems that more posters than ever before show here
that they shouldn't get their visas at all in the first place as complete
lack of their resourcefulness proves... :-)

Mr. Miller;
In this world it seems we are way to thoughtless to say thank you. So on
behalf of all you do, a pat on the back. And a BIG THANK YOU! Hope you have
a great Year.

Re: Help needed-- Driving directions from San Francisco to Vancouver
Thanks a lot for the detailed info you provided
I don't understand why some people are so rude and posted a lot of bad
reponse. I'm just a girl who's going to drive thousand miles alone and
trying to find some safe travelling tips. What's wrong with that??? I
do know how to find a map and directions from internet. But a lot of
people who did this (I mean drive from SF to Vancouver)before may have
better idea where to stop for the first night. I don't think I could
drive 14 hrs with no stop. Anyway....
Thanks again for all of you who shared your experience.

Re: Help needed-- Driving directions from San Francisco to Vancouver
Had you been more direct in asking people's experience driving from
SFO to Vancouver, you might get the answer that you are actually
looking like, places to stay, what does the road like, where to be
alert for cops, traffic gridlocks, place to avoid or that you have to
climb two steep mountains along the way: Redding,CA to Eugene,Or and
Northern part of Washington state all along I5 etc, etc.
The link below have tons of very informative first hand experience
other folks have:
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=dr...eja.com&rnum=6
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=dr...att.net&rnum=3
You can also search the google groups: search for DRIVING TO
VANCOUVER,
click the botton on search only in the misc.immigration.canada
you'll get old postings of people who 'walk the walk'... Enjoy... oh
one more thing. stay away from aikido...He consumes hard drugs as
vitamins.

Re: Help needed-- Driving directions from San Francisco to Vancouver
yeah right, like you added any value by repeating what miller et al.
had already said. Nothing is late when you're looking for good
information. I actually sent the info to her DIRECTLY to insure you
will not taint it with your useless drivel. In hindsight, thought to
post it here so others who have seen it would not have to repeat it
(like you always do). Drag queen! Go back to that steaming heap of
dung you belong. You turd!

had already said. Nothing is late when you're looking for good
information. I actually sent the info to her DIRECTLY to insure you
will not taint it with your useless drivel. In hindsight, thought to
post it here so others who have seen it would not have to repeat it
(like you always do). Drag queen! Go back to that steaming heap of
dung you belong. You turd!

Re: Help needed-- Driving directions from San Francisco to Vancouver
Because you posted your message on an IMMIGRATION forum, instead a
travel-related one.
alt.travel.usa-canada is the one where you will get the best driving
tips/directions, on top of what Andrew Miller (he is from Vancouver, but he
is an immigration consultant as well) already told you.
