Hi all just wanted a bit of advice. I am planning on obtaining a study permit from a DLI in Canada i have spoke to a few colleges/unis and all is well on that front. After speaking to Immigration i understand that i can take my partner and my 3 year old will me to Alberta in Canada for the duration of my studies. From my understanding my partner will be able to work in Canada for the duration of my studies. This is were i get lost a bit. When my Studies finish 2 years later what happens if i decide not to continue in education and want to go into the workforce with what i have studied is this allowed ? or would i have to leave Canada then apply for a work visa 6 months later ?
Also my partner is a UK Sales Manager (NO DEGREE) if he got something similar while i was doing my studies would he have to leave his job and we would be sent home ?
