Hello To One and All
I have been a frequent user of this post and have got very valuable suggestion regrading candian immigration issues from this Group. Thanks to all !!
I shall explain my time line below
Applied January 11th 2001
AOR - January 30th 2001
Interview - February2nd 2002
Medicals - October 2002
All documents for me and my spouse as well as ROLF etc was send over in this period of tim
My visa post was London and i reside currently in Abudhabi United arab Emirates and am an Indian national.
It has been more than 7 months and no news from the london immigration office .
The current problem is i shall be going to US for doing my Masters within a month or so .The issue is if incase the medicals get over and if they ask me and my wife to do medicals will they accpet medicals when i do it from US and my wife does it from United arab emirates where she shall be for a year .If i do my meicals from US should i inform the CIC the issue of my change of residence .Also will they ask for police verification certificate agin with remedicals ? if they ask for police verification then do i have to do it from US ?
These are issue becasue i have to go to US for education as this is a very good opprtunity for me and also don't want to jeopardize my candian immigartion which is almost done but i supect it might be delayed from what i have read and my own experience .I had my share of waiting of 2 years and 8 months going with process and have understood that the wait has rather increased than decreased ,which i am ready as no other option right !!!!!!!.
To the consulatnts Andrew miller etc i would like to know the best course of action i have to take in this matter .also a suggestion which is feasible and prcatical is looked forward from anyone who has similar experience
Thanks again for te guidance so far and looking forward for more

Before you do or decide anything first fax status request to CHC London. It
looks to me like they may have forgotten about your case. Once you get
answer from London tell us about it and tell us also about timeline for your
plans of moving to US.

Hello Andrew,
Thanks for the advice ,yes i shall keep on faxing them in these 2 months .Would like to know constant faxing will be a problem as far as application status is considereed.Someone told me that these faxes are looged by the CIC in case of each application and in case of more status request fax can jepardize your app status .
Please advice me whether i should transfer my file to US if in case i shall go ??
Thanking you
Sajith

Just keep faxing every week or so. Under your circumstances request for
transfer of files will most likely be refused.

Hello Miller
I got my caips file from london and it seems to be ok except for th fact that in 2 areas
in one segment it is give
"Paper File Sent to PA : BF File TO : RJT ON 10-02-2003"
and in one page it is give
"Paper File Sent to PA : BF File TO : RJT ON 10-02-2003"
There is a change of date in the bough forward dates !!!! is it an error or is it something else ...would like to know on this if possible

CAIPS file keeps all entries intact - thus you should expect more than one
BF date as such are being set every time something happens to your file. The
latest entry counts.

So, when (at what stage) is better to order the CAIPS?

It all depends from both, the case and the reason why you want CAIPS file
printout in the first place.

Hello Andrew
I got my passport request on the 8th of July and send my passports to London CHC .
Also a day before that i got my us visa stamped !!!
now i have to report in US uni on or before 20th october and in canada i have to arrive before 8th of october .
will i get my Pr card within 3 weeks as stated in their website?
should i take all my settlement funds along with me to canada?
if i cancel my us visa saying unavilable to attend class for any reason will that create a problem when applying for another student visa ?
The number of professionals college in masters level especially in tech fields are very limited in canada ie why i have choosen to study in US ..now it seems like i have to forgo somethin which i am ready but want just an assurance that it will not jeopardize things in future
Sorry if the list of queries are way too much but i would defintely like to thank you a lot as your advice of faxing every week to London done the trick !!!!
Thanks again
sajith
