Re: Help! Have i been ripped off??
*You* have to help you find a job! Read the job hunting section of the Wiki, and plan a job hunting trip out there.
Do you definitely need a job offer to get a visa? What do you/your wife do?

Sounds like you'd a good chance at a visa then. It's BC you want to move to I take it?
Would you be ok on one salary if your wife is a teacher?

You would have to read the contract. If you sue for breach of contract you have to prove it. Live is short, for £2500, write a couple of letters, if that fails, move on.

One wage would be likely if your wife is a teacher - you're aware that her finding a job is very unlikely?

yes, my sister-in-law is a teacher and has said that teaching jobs are difficult.
But if she went and got a job as a TA then that is easier.

I love their "Accreditation" page. It implies they are ICCRC accredited but then you actually read the blurb and it merely suggests they hire an accredited "specialist". The original poster might want to ask who this person is and what their ICCRC number is. Without the name or the number how can you know at all?
Here's what the page of accredited individuals will look like. Notice how the actual registration numbers are displayed. They've even uploaded scans of the certificates. Obviously you then check the numbers on the ICCRC site to confirm they are valid and not expired.
