Hello Mr Miller & experts,

I have my immigration file in process for PR. Recently, I extended my
study permit as Iam a full time student in waterloo. Now I want to send
my passport to Bufallo to get a new canadian visa as my visa expires end
of Dec 02.
Since I have my immigration file being processed ( waiting for
interview scheduling since June 02), will there be a problem for me in
getting a visitor visa.
If so, please give your suggestions on this regard.

Why do you want to apply for new visitor visa through Buffalo anyway? If you
are in Canada on valid student permit then you don't need a new visitor visa to
remain in Canada - student permit allows you to do so. You'll need new visa
only if you want to travel and need to re-enter Canada, as student permit is
not valid for re-entry.

As long as you hold valid student permit then getting new visitor visa should
not pose any problem, regardless having PR application pending.

no you wont have a problem getting a visit visa since you are on a valid study permit...

dont send it to buffalo, send it to ny... ny is *very slightly* faster than buffalo for visit visa's (about a week, buffalo takes between 10 to 14 working days to send your passport back)...
