Firstly, its great to find a community like this with so many people sharing knowledge, experiences and advice on Brits moving abroad!

I am a 39 y.o. UK citizen with a young family (wife, 1x toddler and 3x dogs).

Excitedly looking to emigrate to Canada. I am a fully qualified Dual Fuel (Elec. & Gas) Engineer currently working in the Smart Metering industry.

Looking to find employment in the energy sector and hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have my resume/CV ready to publish if/when required.

Any guidance or advice on job opportunities/prospects, family visa requirements, dog travel requirements etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, welcome to BE. Do you need a job offer to get a visa or do you qualify for one without? It’s going to be much easier to find a job offer if you have a visa and are work authorised, rather than needing to find sponsorship.
