Has anyone heard or used these people ?
Just been looking on the net and have seen these people, Vamos a Canada.
They say they do a quick check to see if they think you will be excepted.
Off course it costs but its only $50, as i think we get 67 points im worried that my 3-4 year wait will be for a sorry you dont meet the criteria.
thanks

You are not getting any faster to Canada by paying $50 for evaluation. It is only an assessment, nothing more. Followed later by hard sell pitches in emails and phone calls trying to get you as a client.

Fee for assessment? Are you serious? You can get free, solid evaluation from professionals with well known reputation contributing every day to this forum. Why would you even look somewhere else?

Its all down to my wifes qualifications / degree. We are not 100% sure it classes as a 2 year one on education.

Why would you pay when you can get a free evaluation by contacting Andrew Miller here

You can also do the free assessment on CIC.
It is, to my understanding, the same point system calculation that the agents use. I mean, they can't be using a different calculation as it is CIC who set the points.
I'm also wondering why doing an assessment now would have an impact on your chances of being accepted or speeding up the process?

Hi Kevin.
In september we recruited a company called Visa Plus to help us with our immigration. We had done the points test on cic, and we had 69 points. My brother had used them 2 years ago and recommended them. If i knew then what i know now then i would probably not have used anybody, but used peoples advice on this forum.
The company has provided good advice and bad advice. eg. They advised me to try and get a job, as they thought my qualifications may be disputed. So i went to ontario in Jan and had a job trial for a day, got a job offer and came home. This then totals 79 points on the test. Great they said, we will advise you go on a Wp,(work permit) and apply when in Canada for PR. For that we needed an LMO from the HRSDC. Visa plus advised that the job offer was ok if they had advertised properley and extensivley. They had for 2 years, but the HRSDC refused the application. Visa plus were right because they company only advertised in specialist papers and on their website. They advised we try for an AEO, so the company applied for that and it has just been accepted, so i now have all the application forms which are nearly completed. Visa plus will check all these forms and then submit them for us through their canadian agent/lawyer.
I wish i had known that they use an agent/lawyer in Canada before we signed up, because i could have obtained a Canadian lawyer myself to help us!!
Now i feel confident to do it on my own, but 12 months ago i didn't, so we splashed out the best part of £4000!!
My mate went to oz, and he told me to do it myself, but i still had doubts.
At the end of the day, it depends on your confidence and finances.
Best of luck whatever you decide, just make sure you have buckets of patience!

Yeah you right!
But when you come back from holiday in canada, and all you want to do is get back permanatley, and you have no idea where to start, you tend to go with the way that you know works.
Like i said, if i knew then what i know now!!!!

Im ready for the wait but i dont really want to wait and then find out we dont actually qualify.
Im thinking of changing jobs and will hold out in the job im in if i KNOW i can get in, if not id rather move jobs now.
I take it they dont actually look at your application at all until your time comes. Wouldnt it make more sense if they had a quick look and said, YES we cant see any reason why you wouldnt get in but the wait is **months or say NO, sorry you dont look like you qualify.
It seems a little unfair being in limbo for the best part of 4 years.
Sorry for the little moan

Re: Has anyone heard or used these people ?
At this stage it is absolutely irrelevant how many points you score through paid or free evaluation. What counts is the claims you've made in the application and evidence you provided to support them. You may have scored 90+ points on evaluation but if your evidence doesn't conclusively prove it all you may end up refused for lack of points.
The only way to find out now is either (1) wait and pray or (2) ask authorized immigration representative to evaluate your entire application package in order to see how much it is worth and what problems you have there and how to fix them. Of course it cannot be done for free and it cannot be done for $50 either.
