GST / PST

I have a question concerning customs and GST /PST.
I recently ordered a DVD ROM from the states On-Line, and I paid it through the
credit card and paid the shipping and recievd it. Now, I have recieved a letter from
some company called A&A Contract Custom Brokers Ltd in Surrey, BC that I still have
to pay GST/PST. The amount is not that much but they have also included Brokerage.
Now is this legitimate, can anyone tell me if I do pay them or how this whole thing
works? Any help appreciated

Yes, it is legit. Welcome to cross border mail order and online purchasing. You
imported goods and you have to pay all applicable duties and taxes. I don't know
about the brokerage fees though, you should contact Customs and Revenue Agency with
that question.
