Thanks to you all experts especially Adrew Miller, David Cohen and Jim Humphries, you
have saved some more souls! Remember my story? Attended interview on the 12th of Jan.
at the London CHC with my wife whose application was received at the embassy 3wks
before the interview. During the interview the officer told us she was yet to receive
the application form of my wife and she'll get back to us when she receives it and
takes a decision. The second problem during the interview was the nature of the
interview itself. 90% of the one hour we spent with her was spent on several
questions concerning my jobs only to be told at the end of the interview that I was
not qualified for the category I applied for, which was Economist/Researcher. The
explanations and description of my job made the officer decide that I'm more of a
Marketing Consultant. She said she was going to look into it and see if Canada needs
specialists in that category. By the way the letter from my first place of work was
suddenly missing too! And I was not with a duplicate. Two weeks later, my wife
received a letter from the embassy, actually an AOR with a different file number,
meaning her application was received already, misplaced and consequently not
connected to my file as the husband as it was shown on her application form but
rather treated as independent! 2nd of Feb. I received another letter from the embassy
saying the application of my wife was not received yet, that I should fill the
included application form for my wife, submit required documents and send it with the
appropriate fee. That if they do not hear from me within 60 days from the date of the
letter (24-01-01), my application would be refused and file closed!!! All this while
we sent several faxes and a couple of registered posts but nothing happened! On the
19th of March we received both medical forms and the go ahead to pay the Landing fee
within 30 days, meaning they finally found her application and connected it to mine!
We did the medicals on the 20th of March the following day. And today the 17th of
April received the BBE less than a month after medicals which is very unusual for
London-Ukraine! Could it be the mistake the embassy made speeded up our process
because it was very fast afterwards? As u can see we went through a lot but your
advices were a real help to us, they were invaluable! Thanks and God bless. Keep the
good work up!

Congratulations!!!

It wasn't a mistake when London sped-up finalizing your case. They have a lot of
mistakes and misplaced applications lately and when they catch up with such error
they try not to lose it again, so they really concentrate on it.

Anyway, welcome to Canada!
