YEEEHAAAHH - Vancouver here we come!!
Yes, it's another of those annoying GOT IT!! messages. Just had a call from our agent
- we've got our visa's!!
Timescale:
September 2000 - visited Vancouver and attended business immigration seminar
(prefered requirement for business immigration)
February 2001 - submitted application to CIC London under self-employed category with
fall back to Entrepreneur category implied in covering letter. (I'm a 55 year old,
self-employed project management consultant.)
April 2001 - AOR received
May 2001 - advised we have to go for interview
19th November - Interview at CIC London - 40 mins long - advised that we would be
accepted under Entrepreneur category - had 70 points before interview and were given
another 7 for 'personal aptitude'
26th November - Medicals done
10th January 2001 - Visas received
As we've already sold our house, we're hoping to move to Vancouver within the next
month to make the best of our late youth!
Having seen so many of these Got It! messages, I know this may not be good news for
some but, rest assured, it is worth the wait! All good wishes to those still waiting
in the pipeline
