Hello group,

Well, its now my time to say the famous words "Got it".

Yesterday I got letter from CIC Buffalo requesting to submit my
passport.
My timeline may be helpful especially for students in Canada
Applied Feb, 2002
AOR JUN,2002
Med, Criminal Certificate - Oct, 2003
Reports Sent - Nov, 2003
Police clearence records received at Buffalo, Mid March, 2004
Request for Passport - April end, 2004

Nationality - India
PCC certificate from India - I did not submit as was not asked

Currently doing studies in McGill University, Quebec, Canada
Any questions please feel free to ask ??

This group has been really a great help for keeping the spirits up

Hi Chaitanya..like you i am also a student studying in Halifax, and we have exactly similar timelines. I have 2 questions for you. What were the initials after your file number, for example after my file number i had[NE]. These are the initials of the visa officer, secondly did you check your e-client server and did it state decision made before you got you pp request or did it only state in process all the time. Your answers will be of great help, and as i end i wish you all the best. Regards.Kevin

Congratulations!!! I wanted to know that you submitted your PCC in March. Did they ask you for it or you sent in on your own? My timeline is exactly like yours except that I did my medicals in Sept 2003. Since then i have not heard anything from them.

June 2003 initial assessment -No interveiw
sent Medicals August 2003
request for ROLF Decembre 2003
Request for proof of funds Feb 2004
still watint
Did they requesy u for proof of funds just before passport request?

I am in Halifax on a work permit and got my letter requesting my passport
for pr on 27 April 2004
My time line: Apply at Pretoria, South Africa - May 2001, AOR - July 2001,
Request transfer of application to Buffalo - Oct 2001 , AOR - Dec 2001,
CIC Buffalo send my file to CIC New York - Jan 2003,
Request Medicals, PR landing fee and Fingerprints - mid Dec 2003
All new forms was returned within a month (there were a lot)

I am a South African Citizen.

Well, I am trying to clarify the doubts for most of you

1) About PCC ?
I did not submit PCC as I was not asked to submit.
This also depends in which country you are right now and which
countries
you have visited earlier. More the number of countries more time.

2) About the file number?
No my file number did not have something ending in NE
It is like most of the others starting with B....... for those who
sent application to Buffalo, NY

3) About funds ??
Not asked for funds, though in my initial application I had
submitted
bank statements for the last three months. Also since I am already
in
Canada they could verify it any time (Just a guess.)

4) E-Client Server "Decision Made Question" ?
In my case E-client showed "Decision Made" in Feb, 2004 but I think
by Feb, 2004 they had not received my medical and police clearence
certificate from Ottawa.

I think I have answered to most of the doubts to the best of my
knowledge. Thanks for every thing.
