Default Going through immigration lawyer

Is it worth it to use an immigration laywer or would it be better to do everything on
our own? I am married to a Canadian and will be living in Canada.

a good immigration practioner can save you unnecessary delay, frustration and sadness
but you must be willing and able to part away with at least 3-4 grand

lots of qualified professionals contributing in this NG.....take your pick i'd go for
ANDREW ( BRITISH COLUMBIA) or if your destination is MONTREAL - you may try COHEN....

Absolutely and definately NO. If you can fill out the form with no real queries and
have nothing odd that you don't know where it goes on the form then my advice would
be to go it alone. It will save you a lot of money. Also upset, sadness and heartache
when they screw it up, can't communicate properley with you and don't reply to
questions you ask. (please don't think I'm referring to our experts here either, I'm
not and they are very good to give their time to us) Bottom line, if you make the
points you're surely intelligent enough to go it alone. Pat. Used a lawyer and
regretted it ever since.

I used an immigration lawyer to help my friend immigrate here, it took us 18 months
and the lawyer was of no use, I am sure many lawyers are very helpful but ours was no
help. A friend of his came the exact same way only he did it on his own, he did not
use a lawyer, and the process took only 8 months. This is not a slur against lawyers,
I just feel our money was wasted with the one we used.
