I know by laws, in BC, and ON, I should give up my US driver's license after getting
a Canadian licence based on my US driving history, but I heard from this newsgroup,
officials do not require to take the US ones away, when they issue the Candian ones.
Is that true?

I also heard from this newsgroup, US states do the same thing: Laws requires a
giveup, but officials do not inforce the laws. Is that also true?

Please post if you have seen or done those things in your past. Thanks.

When my Canadian husband moved to the US and got his Wisconsin DL, the agent gave
him his Manitoba license back, but it had a big hole punched through it! Take
Care. Shelley
