Default Getting married/ BUNAC / work permits

Hi,
After going out with my Canadian g/f for almost 2 years, I've finally asked her to marry me. So we are now engaged.

I am in Canada on a BUNAC work permit and am working as an independent consultant. My BUNAC visa will expire mid-April 206. I'd like to remain here as an independent consultant.

We're happy to get married but would do this fairly quickly, cheaply and inconspicously: we would want to have a better ceremony and celebration when the time affords us space we need to arrange friends and family from 2 countries to get together.

If we do so in a low-key way will Immigration have any reason to doubt our intentions? We have financial commitments together, have lived together since I arrived and have a history of visiting each other in various countries!

Thanks,
Martin.
