FBI Timeline-Any recent case?
Hi all,
Did someone receive FBI clearance in the past week or so? How long did
it take to receive the fingerprint card back?
Thanks.

Over the past two years, I have had to order several FBI background
checks for various purposes. My most recent request was 5 months ago.
Every time, it has always been no longer than three weeks.

Re: FBI Timeline-Any recent case?
I mailed in early december 2003 and it took 5 weeks. They returned it
back saying that my wife also needed to sign the request letter.
After that, I mailed it again and they sent it back in 3 weeks. They
processed mine OK but for my wife, they said that the fingerprints
were not readable. Duh, why couldn't they check everything at once
the first time around.
I mailed my wife's fingerprints the third time and they finally
processed it successfully. It reached them on Feb 9 and I got it back
on Mar 12.
Also, I used Fedex 2-day (which for some reason actually only takes 1
day from my city to WV) to send as well as to get back the
fingerprints. If you use USPS, it might take longer.
