Farm settlement
Dear List,
Can you advise?
I am considering applying for residence in Canada (possibly Nova Scotia), I
am working out my finances, I am an Electrician but I would like to buy a
Small Farm about 100 acres or so, for cash and work it supplementing my
income with my trade, if I did this would this count toward my entry monies
and how much more minimum would I need to satisfy CIC rules for entry,
assuming that the farm and home would cost me about 100,000.00GBP currently
about 235,000.00 CAD.
Would buying a property like this help toward my entry chances?
Best wishes & TIA

Unless you are an experenced farmer and planning on being a full time
farmer in Canada, buying land will not real help you. Farming sounds
like it will be secondary to your own trade.
If you have not already done so you should pay visit to Canada to
investigate the situation.
