Default express entry skilled trades - language test

Hi

My husband and mysefl are looking at lodging an appliation to move to Canada through the Express Entry Skilled Trades. The application information states that you need to do an english language test - does anyone know if this is still the case if you are english and english is your first language?? Also do you know if the application is based on my husband having a job offer do I need to so the language test aswell?

Thanks for your help

Yes, your husband still needs to do the English test - without it he won't be eligible. Language requirements — Skilled immigrants (Express Entry)

You don't need to do the test, but you'll get extra points if you do, so it will depend on how your points score is.

HTH.
