Default Experts, would you please help?

Visa office: Buffalo,
Waiver - September, 2002; medical test/updated docs sent in October, 2002

CAIPS data:
Bring forward date March 14, 2003; MED M01; BDEC 1; SEC 1; CRIM left blank;

Buffalo officers haven't requested an updated FBI clearance which I guess
is quite important for the CRIM decision - the only one which is still
outstanding.

Experts, does this sound normal or sort of alarming? What do I do?

Any help would be appreciated,
Rich

Appears absolutely normal.

I appreciate your reply, still this whole business looks rather odd to me.

They were so wicked fast with the security check. Not with the criminal one.
Seems like the Buffalo staff did not do anything on BF'D which was scheduled
to take place on March 14. At least I've got nothing from the Buffalo office
ever since. And it's been for more than a month.

I saw people complaining here that sometimes Buffalo just puts the BF'D back
to 6 or 12 months later and I am afraid that happened to me as well. That is
totally weird since the Buffalo officers are done with pretty much everything
but the CRIM decision in my case.

If only they need the FBI thing for them to take a look at "no criminal record
found" stamp and take the CRIM DEC next moment, cannot they just demand on it
instead of putting the case away? Sort of blows the mind. I can bet they have
unlimited pool of BF dates and the rest of all the time to massage my case.
Unfortunately I do not as my medical exam results expire this October.

Will it expedite the case if I send the FBI clearance certificate which seems
to be a must for the Buffalo officers and which they were so much reluctant to
request along with the rest of required documents last September and recently
on the BF'D, March 14?

Thank you so much,
Rich

You should understand that the BF system is actually more of a safeguard in
that the file does not get put away and never see the light of day again.
The file is supposed to be brought forward to the officer when any new piece
of material reaches the file. Sometimes it doesn't happen. When the file
is brought out on the BF date the officer would check to see if anything is
still missing as usually everything should be done by the BF date. If the
file is not complete then it is the time for either contacting the applicant
for missing information, i.e. medical or following up with CSIS for the
background results. Its still a waiting game.

IS THE BF DATE THE MAX TIME SCALE THEY EXPECT YOUR APPLICATION TO TAKE.

No, it is not. BF date is just a reminder for processing officer to take
another look at the case at the specified time if nothing happens sooner.
When BF date comes and officer checks the file then another BF date is
entered into the system if at that time case cannot yet be concluded.
