Experts: Visitor visa/conjugal partners
Good day to all,
A cousin of mine has recently returned from Canada on a visitor's visa and
would like to return. The reason was to meet her conjugal partner's(Canadian
citizen) family and to see for herself the beautiful country Canada is. As
she was on a visitor's visa she had to come home and sort out her financial
and work matters. Her question is how soon before she can go back on a
visitor visa since the requirements to prove a conjugal relationship such as
joint mortgage or bank accounts can surely only be fulfilled if she is in
Canada? This would eventually lead to inland spousal sponsorship.
Thank you for all responses

Re: Experts: Visitor visa/conjugal partners
Conjugal partners don't require join mortgage or bank accounts. Also
conjugal partners cannot be sponsored from within Canada - only spouses and
common-law spouses or partners can be sponsored inland.
There are many other factors that may prove conjugal relationship if such is
a bona fide one and exists for at least 12 months.
If conjugal partnership doesn't exist yet for at least 12 months or such
fact cannot be proven then there is nothing to apply for yet. If they don't
want to get married then her Canadian partner may move to her country and
live with her to meet cohabitation requirements for common-law partners. If
they don't want to go that route or if it is impossible due to serious
difficulties (for example lack of visas after documenting that attempts to
get such failed, etc.) then the only solution is to prove existence of
conjugal relationship for at least 12 months. Tough, but not impossible if
relationship is bona fide one and already at least 12 months old.
