Default Expert help and advice needed!!

Hi all Experts,
I am a new member to the group. I have some concerns. Please clarify.
I applied for immigration in feb 2003 from buffalo. I furnished all the documents. However I left my previous company "XX" based in India on a "Bad Note."(Some Dispute)I have given all my experience letters from previous companies but could not furnish it for the company "XX" but I had given them all the relevant docs. to prove that I was in that company for the given time period. Will that be a big problem during my background check??

Secondly, I joined a US based company but after 1 yr. that company was taken over by another company. So the previous company does not exsist. But I gave my pay stubs and stuff like that when I applied to prove that I work for that company. Also I have my w2 from that company. Again will there be any problem during the background check as the company does not exsist any more??

Any help/advise will be highly appreciated.

Not necessarily.
You basically need to prove conclusively that you worked in that company for
the period you claimed and what your job duties were.
You can provide docs like pay stubs, employment letter, tax forms, etc. it
will prove that you worked for the duration you claimed in your application.

It will be better if your employment letter describes your job duties.
That is the important thing.
If not, you can write a brief document describing your job duties in that
position.
Shouldn't be a problem as long as you are not making false claims about your
job duties.

No problem.
This happens all the time.
The docs you submitted ought to be enough to prove that this was a bona fide
company and you worked for them.
In addition, you can make a brief statement that this company was acquired
by another company and the contact information of the new company.
You can even include the card of your supervisor who can be contacted to
verify your employment and your job duties.
This should be someone who knows you, and not the CEO of the company.

Hope this helps.
