Default Emmigrating from the U.K. Advice PLEASE

Hi,

My partner and I are trying to find out about the immigration points
system and wondered if our points count together to make 75 pts or are they
counted seperately. Also would we pass the self-employed criteria if we were
to buy a small buisness in the region of $200,000 CAD e.g.
campsite/general store

I hope someone can help

Thanks

Phil & Joanne

Only principal applicant's points count, although in the adaptability factor
points for accompanying spouse's/partner's education level as well as for
education/experience in Canada and relatives in Canada are added to the
principal's total.

Self-employed category is strictly reserved for farmers and those who are
self-employed in the cultural or athletic fields. Buying a business of any
kind won't make you a self-employed as per immigration rules definition.

Seems that you have some difficulties understanding or applying rules, thus
I strongly suggest seeking at least professional assessment of your chances
and options. You may email me directly for free evaluation of such.

Please take your insinuations elsewhere. I always provide free evaluation
and seems that you are not aware of that fact, regardless that you are
lurking into this forum for quite some time already.

This is a free forum, and open to the public.

And please don't play your silly little game of "I know where you are
writing from", and "I know who you are", and "I will sue you". I've
"lurked" enough to catch on to this.

This is a "free public forum" and we are all open to our ideas and
suggestions. And, you are free to say "take your insinuations elsewhere"...
fine, you've said it. So what?

I am not easily intimidated, and I will continue to write whenever I feel
like writing. Please remember that his forum belongs to "all of us" - not
just you.

Thank you, and have a nice day.

I don't have and never had any intentions of playing any "silly games" with
you - where did you get such idea from?

If you have some kind of grudge against me then why you won't say so openly
instead of posting unsubstantiated insinuations. And maybe you will have
some credibility if you would substantiate your insinuations and show your
real name my friend.

My record in this forum speaks for itself for many years (since well before
you ever got here), my expertise and time are freely contributed here to the
benefit of all, including those who for some unknown to me reason don't like
me and are openly showing it. But they are simply cowards hiding behind
anonymous posts or faked names and they have nothing to contribute to this
forum, except venting out their frustration from time to time.

Default Re: Emmigrating from the U.K. Advice PLEASE

I have no grudge against no one.

The fact is that you are no saint, sent to this forum to "help everyone".
You make a living from your job... and while you help many "for free", out
of the 20 that you freely give your advice to, maybe one calls on you for
paid services? Please don't try to make yourself the victim here by going
into your music, "...my expertise and time are freely contributed here to
the
benefit of all,..."

You are on this forum for your own benefit... of course, many will protect
you since "it isn't a good idea to bite the hand that feeds you".

Track record? Can you show us your track record? What percentage of all
that apply through you actually successfully immigrate to Canada? How much
better is it than the other consultants our there that might be less
expensive?

As I said in my last post... this is a free and public forum. Just as you
have your opinions, so do the rest. I really don't care what you think
about me or others that have different opinions.... it's unimportant. Why
you would think that anytime someone makes a statement that you don't like
"they hate you", is beyond me, and, again, I don't care. What is scary is
that there may be many out there that think they are hated when someone
makes a statement that they don't like and acts on it by trying to limit
participation (very undemocratic).

Look, go on with your show... I, and many others, will continue "lurking",
and whenever I want to make a comment here, I will.

Have a nice day.

So, still no substance and still an anonymous poster, eh? Have a nice
lurkin' ...

My track record? Not a single refusal for past 12 years, except one about 6
years ago due to fake credential submitted by applicant. Now you will want
to see my record? Sorry, you have to take my word for it as I respect my
clients' privacy. But if you'll lurk in this forum little deeper you'll find
posts from several of my past clients reporting progress and/or results of
their cases, so keep lurkin' ...

I don't claim and never claimed that I'm better than other practitioners -
what gave you that idea?

Have a nice lurkin' ...

As far as I remember from few years back when webimmigration started
(1999?) in both - this forum and with their website where they had
their service contract posted (slightly rewritten ISP client/provider
agreement) - it was exactly their mantra in response to any critics
pointing out to one after another wrong answer. It was webimmigration
people who were using "I know where you are writing from" and "I know
who you are".

And I just did some search for your posts here Rayco - is that
coincident that your only posts in 2001 and then 2002 were somehow
strangely promoting webimmigration service?

If it smells like a skunk ...

Thank you Andrew for your reply, I,m very disapointed that I will not
qualify for the programe by buying a business as that is the closest
criteria that I could find.I thought that as long as I had more than 35
points (I have 45 although none are from the experience in relevant field
section, they are made from lanquage ,education, age,)and the intention and
the money to pay your own way then I would have a chance. In your opinion is
this not the case then, are you saying that the only people considered under
this scheme would have to be a painter, athlete or Farmer.are you not allowed
to become self-employed by setting up or running your own business.
Again thank you for your advice, but if the answer to the
above questions are negative then Unless there are other ways then I,m
afraid that,s that as I am not a surgeon or millionaire.

Thanks a lot

Correct ... you have a grudge ... you just said so and it is evident in
your posts.

You are allowed to be self-employed by setting up your own business. But it
will not meet the definition and/or requirements of Self-Employed category
under immigration law as this category is strictly reserved for farmers and
those in cultural and athletic fields.

Any other field of self-employment may only be a base for either Skilled
Workers class or Entrepreneur category as long as you can meet criteria in
one of those categories. Why won't you contact me for free evaluation of
your chances and possible options instead? It is clear that you don't have
much expertise in immigration rules and you need someone who has such to
assess your circumstances.
