Re: A Dutch got it with CSQ...!
It is not an "official immigration document" of any kind. Quebec (as any
other Province) doesn't have any right to issue "immigration documents" -
immigration is the domain of federal government and only federal government
can issue immigration documents. CSQ, as any other Provincial selection
certificate is just the document certifying that candidate met particular
Province's selection criteria and has been granted selection certificate,
nothing more. With such selection certificate candidate must apply for PR
visa through proper Canadian visa post outside Canada and meet all federal
admissibility criteria before s/he can be granted PR visa.

I copy/pasted that *directly* from Step 4 of this URL
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.q...rker/step.html
It says this:
-- begin quote -->
If your application is accepted:
you will receive by mail a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ), the official immigration document issued by the Government of Québec;
or
you must appear for a selection interview. If you interview is successful, you will then receive your Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ).
<-- end quote --
I guess then that the Government of Quebec has bogus info on their webpages?

Re: A Dutch got it with CSQ...!
I think that they should word it differently - like for example "an official
selection certificate document allowing you to apply for Canadian PR visa
under Quebec Skilled Workers class". Such phrase would be more clear and
would not create confusion, as we often see in this forum when novices here
think that CSQ is all they need to immigrate to Canada with Quebec as
destination Province.

If you don't care, I'll wait for google groups to archive this message, and
then send out an email to webmaster@website ... In the past 12 months, the quebec
immigration website has been overhauled -so- much I'm quite sure they'll atleast
consider it ...
If you do have objections, please do make them clear

Re: A Dutch got it with CSQ...!
Gefeliciteerd Jeroen!
You're a lot further forward than I am - I sent off my preliminary app to Hong Kong (UK citizen, based in NZ) in May, and have my interview this week.
I lived in The Netherlands myself for a while, so I'll have to look into Dutch police certificates if I'm accepted. Would you be able to let me know how to go about that please?
Cheers,
Evelynne
