No, you will not lose your US citizenship as long as you have no intention to
lose it or to relinquish it.

You will be able to have dual citizenship. The following website
explains it very well.

P.S. I'm also a US citizen who has moved to Canada,
and who has naturalized as a Canadian citizen. The
result is that I now hold both US and Canadian citizenships.

Yes you can have dual citizenship. I plan on doing just that.

is DUEL citizenship some kind of citizenship duel? That is the state of mind
where one's citizenships fight over the control of the person? Just thought
Rey Cas might want to know

You do not have to become a Canadian citizen, if you don't want to. You can live forever in Canada as a Permenant Resident. The USA does not officially recognize dual citizenship, nor does it fully approve of it. If you do become a Canadian citizen, then every time you renew your US passport, you have to fill out forms and they have to review your case and decide whether or not they think you're truly remaining an American. That's what I was told by the American Consulate in Vancouver BC.

You can keep both citizenships. I have dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship and am living in the U.S. But getting Canadian citizehship is not a necessity. You are entitled to the same benefits as a landed immigrant. I have a Korean friend up there who has been living in Canada for 10 years and is not a citizen.
