Does my SIN number have Implied Status too?

Does my SIN number have Implied Status too?
Hi everyone, some advise would be appreciated.
I've applied for PR (Spouse sponsorship - my wife is Canadian). I've also handed in an Application to Change/Extend my Conditions. As I'm currently working, I was told that I have "implied status" until a decision is made.
My question. Does this give my SIN number implied status?? It was supposed to expire on 30th May (expiry date of my work permit). Or is there something I should do to extend my SIN? I only paperwork I could show Service Canada is a copy of my sent application - so I'm not sure how effective that'd be.
Thanks!

Hi
No implied status for SIN. You can't extend it until you get a new work permit or PR.

Interesting. So CIC allows me to work, but Service Canada doesn't let me pay taxes...?

My visa expired last year, I still paid taxes - you'll just get your existing SIN number renewed if you're still not a PR. They don't care that it expires as long as you don't tell them till you renew and as long as you still pay taxes
