does a criminal record from abroad need to be notarized?
Hello, I am an inland applicant. If you know the answer of this question, please I wanna hear from you!
Does a police certificate from a country (other than USA or Canada) need to be notarized or certified by the canadian embassy abroad or any other authority in that country? or simply CIC accept it exactly as the way it is granted? (and of course with the respective certified translation)
Thanks!!!!

If you need to supply a police cert. you will be sending the original to CIC
and NOT a copy, as such it would not normally need certification.

Typically CIC would only accept the police certificate directly from the issuing authority, so you would not get to see it to copy it anyway.

Glad you said "only typically" I got mine directly and made a photocopy for
my own files.

That's right, you get the certificate. You are the one who applies for it and has to have it officially trainslated where applicable. CIC wants the original, and you can keep your own copy for your records.
